Opalescence comes in four concentrations and three flavors, so you can customize your whitening. Opalescence PF 20 is a professional-grade tooth-whitening gel containing 20% carbamide peroxide. You can wear Opalescence PF 20 for 2 to 4 hours at a time—whatever is convenient for you.

How do I use it?
Opalescence PF 20 is to be used with your own bleaching trays. Remove the cap from the syringe. Release the contents of the whitening gel into one or both trays, moving from one molar end to the other in a continuous line. Angle the syringe tip toward the facial side, and use about 1/3 to 1/2 syringe per tray. Place the trays into the mouth, over the teeth. Press the trays gently to ensure contact with the teeth. Carefully remove any gel that oozes onto the gums or elsewhere in the mouth. Discard the open syringe of unused gel.
Leave Opalescence PF 20 in for 2 to 4 hours. After the prescribed treatment time, remove the trays. Use a finger or clean toothbrush to remove gel from your teeth. Rinse your mouth twice with tepid water, taking care not to swallow. Clean your trays with cool water and a clean toothbrush. Store your dry trays in their case.

Is it safe?
Yes! Opalescence PF 20 contains carbamide peroxide, a tested bleaching agent. Ultradent has added potassium nitrate, which decreases sensitivity, and fluoride, which strengthens enamel. You get teeth that are not only whiter but also more resistant to tooth decay.
To protect your gums, do not overload your trays. The gel does not need to contact the entire surface of each tooth. Opalescence PF 20 will be drawn up into the tooth's enamel, where it will diffuse throughout for even whitening. Keeping the bleaching agent away from your gums is the best way to minimize irritation and have a safer, more comfortable whitening experience.
